The Master of Infrastructure Development Policy (MIDP) is a 17-month graduate program jointly offered by Kyung Hee University and the Export-Import Bank of Korea (EDCF), designed to equip mid-level public officials from partner developing countries with the strategic insight and practical tools necessary for transformative infrastructure leadership.
Recognizing that infrastructure is the foundation of sustainable development, the MIDP offers a multidisciplinary curriculum that combines infrastructure planning and management, project finance, and public-private partnerships (PPPs) with policy analysis and global development strategies. Students examine critical infrastructure domains—including transportation, energy, water, and digital systems—through the lens of inclusive growth, environmental sustainability, and good governance.
What distinguishes MIDP is its grounding in Korea’s rapid development experience and Kyung Hee University’s founding philosophy of “academic peace and global civilizational responsibility.” The program emphasizes the role of infrastructure not only in economic growth, but in fostering social justice, climate resilience, and peaceful coexistence. Through rigorous coursework, field research, and case-based learning, participants gain both conceptual clarity and real-world problem-solving capacity.
MIDP students join a diverse global cohort of public officials, creating an international platform for knowledge exchange, policy dialogue, and long-term cooperation. By the end of the program, graduates are prepared to:
- Design infrastructure policies that align with national development priorities and global sustainability goals
- Mobilize finance through multilateral partnerships and PPPs
- Coordinate cross-sector stakeholders in complex governance settings
- Advance infrastructure as a catalyst for peace, equity, and innovation
The MIDP is more than a degree—it is an investment in future leaders who will shape the public infrastructure of tomorrow with vision, responsibility, and a commitment to peaceful and sustainable development.
